As a jeep liberty owner with a sky slider i have also having ongoing issues with the slider breaking not closing or opening and being given the run around by jeep corp. While operating the vehicle the sky slider roof top malfunctioned and erroneously cracked open. I have a 2008 jeep liberty with a retractable roof giving me the best of both worlds a small suv and a convertible. Is this an effort.

The skyslider roof on our 2008 jeep liberty 4x4 is very noisy at driving speeds or on windy days and as many other owners with this option have stated the roof does not close all the way said. One day we pushed the button to open the front section one side started sliding and the other did not. However once i pass the 45mph mark there is an incredible roaring noise and as i increase my speed the retractable roof actually lifts on both the drivers and passengers side and the noise is deafening. They ordered a new bow and replaced it after having the vehicle for two weeks.

I just bought a new 2008 liberty on 1 1 09 and have been fighting with the dealer for 18 days about how noisy the slider roof is. Jeep decided to cut a huge hole almost the entire length of the 2008 liberty s roof and cover it not with glass but canvas. Now like many who have posted here and other forums i am now the owner of a jeep liberty that has a giant hole in the roof because the top does not close. It was later discovered that the top could not be closed properly.
